Zimbabwe is competing in the Winter Olympics for the first time in Sochi, with Alpine skiier Luke Steyn, and we are excited to learn more about the country’s national dish and cuisine. The national dish of Zimbabwe is widely considered to Sadza, a versatile, porridge-y cornmeal dish that can be served with almost any entree. CNN notes it as one of their 15 favorite dishes in Africa. Though we started off the Sochi Olympics by covering Russian food, the Olympics are perfect time to highlight food from all around the world.
